The 90's. We were all there. Do you remember...
I was sitting around thinking today and I was wondering what life would be like if we were in the 90's again just to experience the world around us when we were younger as we are now. For example, Sprite Remix. I thought that was the best soda of all time. I don't know why now because they don't make it any more. Why was it so darn good? Would I think it's still really good if I drank it now? Tell me something from the 90's that you wish you could experience now in your current state of being and would you think you would have a different opinion on it?

I remember drinking that stuff around 7th grade when I did football
It was just sprite with like a few drops of some citrus flavor that didn't really change the drink much to me. Besides I don't drink much soda. When I think of 90's I think of emergence of contemporary electronic music styles.

Re: The 90's. We were all there. Do you remember...
we'd have less shit music
why hasn't anyone invented a time machine yet
but, I can't imagine life without being surgically attached to my computer.
although I'd love to live in a rich and oppressed (lols!!1) time like the Victorian era, I don't think I'd trade this for it
also, Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon didn't suck wad. I wonder if I'd think of them the same way I think of their present state if I hadn't grown up watching them in the '90s?

I only think half of me would be accepted in that time period. I actually love the power of communication of this era though. The music of now gives me a headache. Back then I could stand hip hop. I really don't like how respect for your fellow human friends has become almost none in society. Like in the 60's calling someone a bitch was almost unheard of. Now Everyone is a "bitch" to everyone. It's so bad.

I think being loud and standing our ground is just a part of our culture.
People just get more and more stupid every generation IMO. The less intelligent you are, the less you will understand the benefits of the golden rule. It's like common sense has become a rarity. And so, we're fcked.

NOW THIS IS A STORY ALL ABOUT HOW
MY LIFE GOT FLIP-TURNED UPSIDE DOWN
NOW TAKE A MINUTE, JUST SIT RIGHT THERE
I'LL TELL YOU HOW I BECAME THE PRINCE OF A TOWN CALLED BEL-AIR
IIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN WEST PHILADELPHIA BORN AND RAISED
ON THE PLAYGROUND IS WHERE I SPENT MOST OF MY DAYS
CHILLIN' OUT, MAXIN', RELAXIN', ALL COOL
WHILE SHOOTIN' SOME B-BALL OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL
WHEN A COUPLE OF GUYS
WHO WERE UP TO NO GOOD
STARTED CAUSING TROUBLE IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD
I GOT INTO ONE LITTLE FIGHT AND MY MOM GOT SCARED
SHE SAID, " YOU'RE MOVING WITH YOUR AUNTIE AND UNCLE IN BEL-AIR"
I WHISTLED FOR A CAB AND WHEN IT CAME NEAR
THE LICENSE PLATE SAID FRESH AND IT HAD DICE IN THE MIRROR
IF ANYTHING, I COULD SAY THAT THIS CAB WAS RARE
BUT I SAID, "NAH, FORGET IT. YO' HOMES, TO BEL-AIR."
I PULLED UP TO THE HOUSE ABOUT 7 OR 8
AND I YELLED TO THE CABBIE, "YO' HOMES, SMELL YA LATER"
I LOOKED AT MY KINGDOM
I WAS FINALLY THERE
TO SIT ON MY THRONE
AS THE PRINCE OF BEL-AIR
phew.. I hope I got it right :D
edit: thx arena pech

I think you liked it a lot because it was new and you were more aware of your surroundings. As a youth you naturally have a more curious mind. If I could experience something again, it would probably be my parents living together.7eed wrote:I was sitting around thinking today and I was wondering what life would be like if we were in the 90's again just to experience the world around us when we were younger as we are now. I wonder who I would be if I never left Florida. Would I know any of you guys? Or would I run into you one day never knowing in an alternate universe I would be such good friends with everyone here.

I am not a fanboy. It came on all the time and was so darn catchy I couldn't get it out of my head.
Re: The 90's. We were all there. Do you remember...
*ahem*
HE WAS A BOY
SHE WAS A GIRL
COULD I MAKE IT ANY MORE OBVIOUS?
HE WAS A PUNK
SHE DID BALLET
WHAT MORE CAN I SAY?
HE WANTED HER
SHE'D NEVER TELL
SECRETLY SHE WANTED HIM AS WELL
BUT ALL OF HER FRIENDS STUCK UP THEIR NOSE
THEY HAD A PROBLEM WITH HIS BAGGY CLOTHES
HE WAS A SK8TER BOI
SHE SAID SEE YA LATER BOY
HE WASN'T GOOD ENOUGH FOR HER
SHE HAD A PRETTY FACE
BUT HER HEAD WAS UP IN SPACE
SHE NEED TO CUM BACK DOWN TO EARTH
OK DON'T FEEL LIKE TYPING THE REST
